Drop-In Community Pub Sings! for FUN, Alternate Wednesdays 6:30-8:00pm
Yes, you CAN sing! Join us as we explore melodies and harmonies through vocal play during this drop-in Singing Circle. We will meet this November at the Chattanooga Culture Kombucha Bar at 313 McFarland Ave, Rossville, GA 30741. Each participant will get one glass of their choice of kombucha during this alcohol-free "pub sing" experience! Of course, hanging out afterwards for more kombucha and conversation is always encouraged.
December 2024, 6:30pm-8:00pm each week
December 4th & 18th
Chattanooga Singing Circle is for any one who wants to mindfully and joyfully play with the sounds of their own voice in a supportive community environment. In this introductory workshop we will explore melody, harmony, and simple rounds as we learn new music in a call and response style.
Singing Circles have a long and diverse tradition as a way in which communities celebrate, grieve, share, and connect with one another. This deeply human practice of making music together with songs taught in the oral tradition is open to all who love music and song regardless of age or ability. Join us for this inter-generational, non-auditioned, community Singing Circle to promote Peace with self, others, and the world around you.
A note about payment: our goal is to make community singing once again accessible to EVERYONE! If the sliding scale payment option available is still not accessible, let's talk. I'm sure we can work something out and your voice is a valuable part of this community chorus, so let us know what you need and we'll figure it out together.
Subsequent Sessions on a Sliding Scale Admission. Suggested Donation of $20 to $30 per person. Be Affordable. Be Generous. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Registration can be made in advance here.
Payment can be made here or at the door via Venmo @Naomi-Self or PayPal @NaomiSelf or with cash.
